Jelena Zelenovic Matone

Jelena Zelenovic Matone, PhD Eng. Candidate, MBA, CISA, CRISC is a cybersecurity executive and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the European Institution, with over two decades of international experience in information security, risk management, and digital transformation across the financial sector. She has held senior leadership roles in global institutions, driving large-scale cybersecurity programs, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience initiatives.

Jelena is a recognized thought leader in cybersecurity governance, with expertise in ICT risk, Regulations, defence strategies, and emerging technology risks including AI and quantum security. She is the founder and the first President of the Women4Cyber Luxembourg Chapter and Women Cyber Force Association, as well as an active advocate for diversity and inclusion in the cybersecurity field.

She has received multiple industry recognitions, including CISO of the Year in Luxembourg and CISO Sentinel World, and regularly contributes to international conferences and strategic advisory forums. Jelena is currently pursuing her PhD Eng. at KU Leuven focused on Quantum/PQC.
